the Price of Cello Lessons

I have a friend who is a music teacher and also plays the cello beautifully. She just lives a couple of doors down and does cello lessons for kids out of her apartment. For kicks, I asked her if she would give me a lesson and she said she would. It was a lovely introduction to the cello for a beginner. My friend only charged me twenty five dollars for an hour or so lesson.

My friend is a very patient, thourough teacher and she gave me a wonderful cello lesson. The time just flew by and I did not want the lesson to end! I feel like I got a great deal because she is my friend. I do not know if you could find a better deal out there for an hour long cello lesson.

I would tell anyone to ask their friends who they take music lessons from and if they like them. And, if you have a friend or relative who plays an instrument, ask them if they would be willing to give you a lesson. Be sure to offer to pay for the lesson though! Their time is definetly worth it and you want to show you appreciate their time, effort and talent.
