Description of service
In West Philadelphia there is a Community Acupuncture Business. They base their pay based on the income level of the consumer. For this reason, I paid $15.00 for an acupuncture appointment. The location was above a coffee shop, and it had a comforting feel to it. It was my first time getting acupuncture, and they explained to me the procedures. Since they only do it on your arms and legs, I had to wear loose fitting clothes. The needles did not hurt at all, and I fell asleep after the procedures.
Review of Service
I felt comfortable and relaxed. The staff gave me tea, and explained to me what would be done before and during the procedures. Before the appointment, I was afraid of needles. However, after it I was not longer afraid. The needles did not hurt at all. My pms symptoms, moodiness, backache, and bloating, were relieved. The area where it was performed in was clean, and the music was calming. I will definitely go back again.
Tips
Do not be afraid to ask questions before and after the procedures. Wear comfortable clothing. Do research, and find a place that fits your lifestyle. Make sure that they are clean. The place where I was at only performed acupuncture on the client's arms and legs, but other places utilize the entire body. Acupuncture does work, and it worked for me. Best of all, you might fall asleep and that's perfectly alright!
