I recently took my 4 year old daughter to get her first hair cut at our local salon. This salon is located within a local retailer, so the base cost of the cut was a little lower than a normal salon. The cost of the cut was 9.95 and I left a tip to make it an even 12.00. This was for a dry cut, no shampoo or blow dry.

I think that my daughter recieved a good haircut. It was only a trim, and I think that kids cuts should be cheaper than 10 dollars, but the stylist who cut her hair was really good with her. My daughter is a very difficult person when it comes to strangers, so for this woman to be able to get my daughter into the chair was an accomplishment in itself. Overal I will go back to this salon for I and my daughters trims, it wa worth the money for such great service.

The best advice I could give to someone who is looking for a place to get their hair cut would be to ask around. Everyone gets their hair cut and it is usually really easy to find out others opinions about a certain salon / stylist. Also, call around and price check, I know that the price shouldn't always matter when you are talking about your hair, but I know that in my family we have to cut costs any way possible. And finally, once you find someone you really like, make sure you get her, or his name so that next time you go in you can request that person.
