Review of Service
I was without a car for a week, and decided to try grocery delivery from a local grocery store. I looked around a few stores online, and some had a minimum of 75 dollars in groceries, and some charged upwards of 25 dollars for the delivery fee. I was lucky enough to find a store that had no minimum grocery bill and charged 14 total for packing and delivering. The process was easy, there was a virtual store online that took you through asile by asile. If ordered before 9am, you could have the groceries delivered the same day, if not you could choose the day and time of the delivery. The driver was pleasant, and brought the groceries up to my second floor apartment for me. It is not a service I would use often, but for those with limited mobility or no transportation, it can be a really lovely, helpful service.
Tips
Don't be afraid to call the store to find out about a product if you are unsure of it. Make sure you to check out the options at a few different stores, because there is always a better price to be had. The driver and or people delivering to you should always bring your groceries up to your apartment, and inside as well. Almost every place has policies where the drivers are unable to accept tips. I tried giving my driver a tip 2 different times, but he refused.
