Description of service
I had broken a front tooth that had had a root canal previously. I contacted the dentist who upon looking at the tooth, said that the only thing to be done was to do a permanent bridge. So off we went!!!
Review of Service
I first had to go to the oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed and the remains of the broken tooth removed. It was done quickly under anesthesia and after 3 weeks I was able to go back to the dentist to have the mold made for the permanent bridge. It took a total of 8 weeks before I was fitted with it, which I thought was a little long to wait as I had to go to Holiday Parties with a missing tooth and only smile as if I were Mona Lisa. The permanent bridge is fine! The color is great and fits wonderfully. I can eat apples and corn on the cob. It is a great choice and there is no removal or having to have mor appliances in my mouth to hold it in.
Tips
The grinding down of the teeth to hold the bridge in place was unnerving. Having to get dental floss made for permanent bridges and trying to wedge between the gum line and the appliance can be frustrating. There is tooth sensitivity so i drink warm pop and cold coffee, and cold wind makes the teeth hum like there is no tomorrow. If you can tolerate this than you will be fine.
