Description of service
I lost one of my teeth on the lower left side of my jaw some time back. To prevent disfiguring of the jaw as such, I was advised 'dental bridge' or dental implant by my dentist. Since implants were very expensive I settled for a dental bridge. The artificial teeth placed where ceramic on metal which ensure more strength and almost natural cosmetic look. For it to function, two adjacent teeth are modeled and the 'three teeth bridge' is then placed over it.
Review of Service
Eating was uncomfortable and messy, and I slurred when speaking since my tongue was not used to hitting this plate on my palate. Smiling was only done with my hand in front of my mouth. The dentist really put me at my ease and since having the treatment I have had great feedback from friends and my confidence has grown. I don't feel embarrassed or paranoid about my mouth anymore and can smile with confidence.eat everything, speak clearly, and smile a lot!
Tips
It is important to keep your remaining teeth healthy and strong as the success of the bridge (depending on the type selected) depends on the solid foundation offered by the surrounding teeth. Brushing twice a day and flossing daily helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease that can lead to tooth loss.
