Description of service
Dental bridges fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth and they are supported by natural teeth or implants.
The procedure is easy. During the first visit the problematic teeth are prepared. Preparation involves the removing of a portion of enamel of this teeth to allow room for a crown to be placed over them. Next, impressions of your teeth are made, which serve as a model from which the dental laboratory will made the bridge. Your dentist will put a temporary bridge for you to protect the exposed teeth.
During the second visit, your temporary bridge will be removed and the new permanent bridge will be checked and adjusted in order to fit perfectly. You may visit the dentist many times to check the fit of the bridge, depending on each individual's case. If everything is ok your dentist may temporarily cement the permanent bridge for a couple of weeks to make sure it is fitting properly. After a couple weeks, the bridge is permanently cemented into place.
Review of Service
Everything were perfect. The dentist was very patient and he didn't make me feel pain at all. Actually I was very lucky because my new bridge fit perfectly at once, so I had to make only 3 visits to my dentist. Now, regarding the cost of dental bridges varies depending on the type of bridge selected.I paid $350 for the bridge and for the dentist.
Tips
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, it is not unusual for the life span of a fixed bridge to be over 10 years. Therefore, it is important to keep your remaining teeth healthy as the success of the bridge (depending on the type selected) has to do with the solid foundation offered by the surrounding teeth.
