Description of service
My twelve year old son had a dental appointment for a routine cleaning. The dentist decided he needed dental sealants re-applied to two of his permanent molars as it was wearing off on those two teeth.. The dentist applied the dental sealant to the two permanent molars. The dentist gave us the after care instructions. The after care instructions were for my son to wait thirty minutes before he ate or drank.
Review of Service
The quality of service was terrific. The dentist and his assistant work very well with children. The dentist also explains to me every time why they put permanent dental sealant on the teeth to prevent future cavities. They explained that is is doubly important since my son will be in braces to make sure that all of his teeth are protected from the possibility of decay and cavities.
Tips
I think it is very important to find a dentist that actually likes working with children since the kids are the ones getting the dental sealants. It really does help protect against cavities. Neither of my kids that use the sealants has ever had a cavity. The price does differ from dentist to dentist so it doesn't hurt to check around on the prices. I found a difference of up to $15 per tooth sealed. When you are having several teeth sealed that can really add up!
