the Price of Digital Cable TV

Digital cable with no premium channels through local service provider. We receive roughly 70 channels including our local CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox stations. There are also several national channels, such as Discovery, History Channel, E! and many more. We pay $40/month.

My husband and I love the service. We always have great, clear reception. We also have a big selection of channels to choose from. This is a real bonus when we don't like the same things and want to watch TV in two different rooms. Also, our two children have several kids channels to choose from so that they are never at a loss when it comes to cartoons. We previously had satellite service and while it was great, it was not the most reliable when it came to reception. If there was a storm or a heavy rain the satellite would always go out. We don't have this problem with the digital cable. Now, if there is bad weather I am confident that we will have access to local news bulletins. As a matter of fact, that was a lot of the reason we changed from satellite to digital cable. We love it.

My one suggestion would be to talk with your family about what channels you want to watch and get a list of the channels offered by the digital cable provider prior to committing to a package. I think a lot of people commit to an expanded package when they would have been just as happy with the basic package.
