Description of service
I used a large chain store from Akron, OH to purchase carpet and install. I had the new carpet installed in 2 very large bedrooms (each is about 12x20) along with the 3 closets that are in those rooms.
Review of Service
The service was good at the time. I was happy with it. (Of course I was getting rid of carpet that was shag carpet from the 70s! Hidious!)
After the fact, I am not as happy anymore. I've found that they didn't pull the carpet tight enough, and now it is bagging and creasing in the middle of the room. I think the warranty for such a thing only lasted for the first year.
Tips
I needed to have the carpet put in right away, so I didn't really shop around that much for it. (I was moving into my new house and needed to get it in before the move). After the fact, I've shopped around and found that you can save TONS of money by buying the carpet and then hiring someone else to install it. Those big chains charge a bundle. I think I could have gotten away with about half of the money and still had a good quality product.
