The upstairs of my house has this old red wine colored carpeting that look like it has been there for 15 years. I finally decided to replace it with some nice heavy traffic berber carpeting. There are two bedrooms a hallway and the stairs that we had carpeted by the company. $2500 is the cost of carpeting and installation. The carpeting alone cost $2000 so installation was $500. I think the high installation fee was because the stairs were very complex. I know some places have free installation, but we got a great deal on the carpeting so we just paid the fee for installation and it was about $200 cheaper.
Review of Service
It took one full day of work for two guys to get everything finished. I waited at home in the morning for them to come before I went to work and they were still there when I got home from work. The final job helped the house look more modern and much nicer. It was great that the job could be done in one full day so it wasn't spread out.
Tips
Like I said some places have free installation, but you might still be better off paying for installation because the carpet cost could be much cheaper.
