Description of service
The service included dry cleaning of 10 not unusually soiled shirts at the local dry cleaners for $1.20 each shirt. The company also offers cleaning of pants, suits, and large items such as area rugs and blankets, the cost varies depending on the size and difficulty of the job. They also offer while you wait service for an extra fee.
Review of Service
The service was excellent. I dropped off my shirts in the morning, and by the time I got back from work my shirts were ready. Collars and cuffs lightly starched as requested, the shirts were ironed and hung on the paper-covered hangers and covered in thin plastic sheeting that every dry cleaner seems to use.
The dry cleaner's staff was very professional and all smiles for all the customers I saw. And even though they were busy they always took the time to make sure they got all the special requests right.
Tips
Dry cleaning is cleaning with a chlorinated chemical solvent instead of water, if that bothers you consider conventional laundry, though dry cleaning is especially suited for delicate items as it will not shrink clothes. An added bonus is that the chemicals do keep away moths so expect a dry-cleaned wool suit to be immune from moth destruction.
But what to look for in a dry cleaner is low-prices and a good reputation for not losing items, or if an item is lost, a willingness to reimburse for the lost item. Word of mouth from your friends is an excellent way to get a good dry cleaner. And to get out the good word about your favorite place.
