Description of service
It was maybe 40 degrees outside when I tried to turn up the furnace and realized something was wrong. This is different than not having air conditioning because you need heat and air is a convenience. I called my repair man and he came out the next morning. He fixed it temporarily until the whatever parts we needed to come in. Luckily it worked for about a week then it broke again just as the repair man returned to fix it permanently. $600 included parts and labor. $100/hour for three hours plus $300 for parts.
Review of Service
The man who fixed the furnace was friendly especially considering that he came so early in the morning. He was in and out in under an hour the first time. This included performing the temporary fix of the furnace. The second time he came it took about 2 hours for the repair. I am very happy to have a working furnace and this man is now my furnace man so if I ever have furnace trouble in the future he will be the man I call as well as recommend to my friends.
Tips
If it's not an emergency get a quote, but if it's an emergency then you're at the mercy of whoever can come first.
