Description of service
This past winter our heater stopped working. We turned it on, but no air was coming out of the vents. I had to call a repair man because I have no idea on fixing heating units. The repair man came to my house and looked everything over. He told me that the fan that blew the air out was broken, the motor had locked up. He said he had to go to the store to get parts, but with labor and everything the cost would be about $200. I happily agreed to this, but the final cost was actually closer to $240 - the piece was more expensive than he thought.
Review of Service
The service was pretty good. From the time I made the call to the repair shop to the time is was back up and running was about six hours. I'm just glad we didn't have to go overnight without heat. The repair man fixed the problem and left no mess behind, so I really have no complaints.
Tips
I called around to differnet places, but none would give me a real quote over the phone, all they would give me was a cost of labor, per hour. If you can, have a friend or someone you know (who knows what they're doing) look at it to see if you can predetermine the problem. That way, you can get a more accurate quote over the phone.
