the Price of Renting an SUV

We rented a Ford Edge for 2 days for a road trip to the mountains. My parents were in town and we decided on a road trip. We needed a larger vehicle than my 4 door car, since my dad is 6'5" and my mother could not keep her leg bent for long periods of time due to a recent total knee replacement.

The quality of service was very high. We were able to get the vehicle with no advanced warning when we realized my parents would not be very comfortable in my car since my mother just had a knee replacement. We were given prompt, friendly service and they were very helpful in helping us pick out the right SUV for best gas mileage, comfort and ability to cover all sorts of terrain. When we called and informed them we needed to return the car a couple of hours late due to being stuck in traffic on the highway because of an accident, they not only were understanding, but didn't charge us for being late.

Make sure you know up front what type of vehicle you need, and if you will want to pay for unlimited mileage or pay for the mileage. Depending on where you go, unlimited it better, but can be more expensive. If you plan on having the vehicle for more than a day, I recommend getting the insurance. That way, if you are in an accident or some idiot decides to key the car, you don't have to pay for the damages. Always read everything and know what you are signing.
