the Price of Renting an SUV

We planned a trip to visit some of the places in our state that we had not visited previously, and our cars are more for local driving, so we decided that an SUV would be the right kind of vehicle to rent for our trip. I called several rental agencies to find an SUV that was reasonably priced and that included unlimited mileage. We rented the SUV for 5 days for $350, with no mileage charges. Also, I picked it up from an in-town location which avoided some airport taxes, so our taxes were $46 and the total cost was $396.

We were very satisfied with the SUV and the rental agency. The vehicle was white, clean on the inside and outside, and had a very smooth ride. The cost of a rental for 5 days was actually less than a 4-day rental because, at five days, the price moves from a daily rate to a rate for the whole time period, so that was a nice surprise on the bill. We got a lot of use from the SUV and it helped us to relax knowing that it was probably well maintained and we didn't have to worry about a breakdown like we might with our own cars. The vehicle was rented and returned without any incidents and the employees were nice and helpful on both occasions. I was satisfied with the cost and the whole service.

Consider renting for an additional day or day if the cost is less or comparable to the daily rate you will pay for less time. Also call several rental agencies to compare the mileage limits and costs, the savings by renting away from the airport, and the types of SUVs that they offer for rent.
