Description of service
We had our entired HVAC system replaced. Our condensor (outside) would not shut off and was from 1985, so it was time. After getting three quotes, we chose the cheapest quote per my father, as he was paying for it for us. The price included removal of all the old HVAC equipment and full installation of the new, including new duct work to the outside of the house for venting and drainage and a completely rebuilt housing for the filter and coils.
Review of Service
The service from the techs was awesome. I mean they did really good work. They were late every day and they took three days to do a job that was supposed to take one day, but, other than the lateness, the length of the job was not their fault. They had a really bad manager who scheduled things insanely and did not have all of our parts ready by the date of the installation (even though they had 2 weeks notice of the appointment). The manager, when called by me, was rude and unapologetic. The techs were working with an unorganized, rude mess. They were nice. The finished product works well and we have been really happy with it. Our electric/gas bills have also gone way down due to the higher effiency of the new system.
Tips
If you have the option (we did not), do NOT go with the cheapest bid. While the product was name brand and top of the line, the service was horrible and I dread having to deal with them for any repairs should they come up. Do not be afraid to get multiple quotes and go with your gut instincts. If we would have gone with the company we wanted to go with, it would have cost us $2000.00 more, but their customer service would have been worth the extra money to me.
