Review of Service
Anyone who has a cat knows how hard it is to do anything to a cat, let alone trying to give him a bath. I had been able to cut my cat's nails, but never able to get him into the tub. My cat is not a happy cat when taken out of his castle. He is 20 pounds, strong, and very vocal. I work at an animal hospital and I have a hard time handling my own cat. He has been banned from many grooming shops until I found a wonderful groomer. She is heaven sent. She knows how to handle and talk to my cat, and what a wonderful job she does on his beautiful hair cut. He likes going to her. When his hair grows back it is so shiny and beautiful. I get many compliments. I will never go to another groomer again.
Tips
Before selecting a groomer, tour the facility. Here are some factors to consider during your evaluation:
Is the facility well-lit?
Does it look and smell clean?
Does the staff appear knowledgeable and caring? Do they handle pets gently?
Are cages adequately sized? Are dogs and cats caged in separate areas?
Are pets monitored regularly to prevent overheating during blow-drying?
Does the groomer keep complete pet records (including grooming, medical, vaccination, and emergency contact information)?
