Description of service
I paid $1,200.00 for full-time tuition at a local Jr. College for one semester. This did not include books or lab fees. Lab fees were around $40.00 for the semester. The $1,200 covered anywhere from 12 credit hours to 16 credit hours. Additional classes could be taken but had to be approved by a counselor. I'm not sure if that would have been extra.
Review of Service
The teaching staff was very professional and knowledgeable. They were very impassioned and seemed interested in really giving us the best education we could get. I never felt that they were sub-par teachers or that they were teachers who only worked at Jr. College because they couldn't get better jobs. The actual classrooms, however, weren't that great. Several of the buildings didn't have working air conditioning which you can imagine was a pain in the fall when it was still hot. One of the roofs leaked which was fixed within a few weeks but still. Also, we had to pay for our own testing materials like scan trons and blue books.
Tips
I would say if you're choosing a Jr. College be sure to look at the campus and buildings before you sign up. The academics are important but so is being comfortable in your classroom.
