Description of service
The junior college costs $70 per semester hour (approximately $160 per class as it has a graduated cost fee), this doesn't include books (varies), student membership fees (technology fees, activity fees etc.). The parking pass costs $8 if you will be using the parking lots near the school.
Review of Service
Over all the junior college is well worth the money, a whole semester will run about $1000 by the time all of the other fees and books come into play, housing is very affordable locally as well. The local school is rated one of the best state nursing programs as well as one of the best technology programs as well. The junior college currently has more students enrolled than the State University campus only 30 miles away. With the student population as high as it is most classes are available pretty much when you want to take them, they also offer multiple classes on line to further ease time crunches for those with jobs and attending school. Unfortunately the taxes for the junior college are being paid only by the local town, while there are now 6 remote facilities that teach classes outside of the immediate area.
Tips
Check out the local undergraduate schools as they often cost a fraction of the cost of a four year university, while most of their classes transfer to the university. Have a good idea what classes you want to take and then tailor your program accordingly.
