We paid to have our 25 by 25 Garage repainted inside and out. For a two tone paint job (body and trim) and to paint a primer coat and a color on the inside we paid $1200 labor. The contractor was licensed and Bonded, and gave us a warranty for his work for one year.

We used a this contractor for a few different jobs around our house, and he did a great job on our garage. It took him close to two weeks but we liked having him around. The garage looks absolutely great now and even our neighbors have commented on it. He was always timely and professional, and kept his work areas extremely neat.

I really like using a smaller more detail oriented contractor. They are more considerate of doing a good job since most of their work is referral based. Primarily you should ask for references and proof of insurance, then go over the details of the job and see how much of that detail is in the bid they provide. Always get a bid, never proceed into any big job on a time and materials agreement. A professional should be able to accurately estimate how much time a job will take.
