Description of service
The type of service was a 5 day , 2 1/2 hour per day nursery private nursery school. I have three children, and all attended the same nursery school. My youngest just graduated.
There were no additional cost involved, and all materials were provided. Occasionally parents were asked to volunteer if thy could bring in something to enhance an activity, such as fruit for fruit salad day, vegitables for a making soup activity, or eggs for Easter. Snacks and juice or water were provided each day. The children were kept busy and were prepared well for Kindergarden. They learned to spell their full name, as well as their address and telephone number. They were ekpt entertained by numerous activities, enhanced by special visitors to the school. Firemen came to visit and they all got to hold the hose and get in the truck. They met a dentist, a magician, a special story teller and an animal keeper. They visited the library and had a nice end of the year picnic.
Review of Service
The quality was excellent. I wish the school kept them a little longer than 2 1/2 hours because it went so fast. However, I would not want my child to do a full day either. They will have enough of that, starting soon!
Tips
The advice I can offer is to speak to other mother and ask a lot of questions about what the pros and cons are of the school. Make sure the school has good security. See if there are cameras and how accessable the school is to strangers. Make sure that they are not allowed to go to the bathroom alone at that young age. No matter how good a school may be, none are perfect. When my daughter was 4, I found out they let her go to the bathroom alone a few times. I fixed that by speaking to the teacher. I never would have know a lot of things if I did not have good communication with my kids, so ask, ask, ask!
