Description of service
The service I signed up for from this company allows you to rent 2 DVDs per month. The service allows you to hold on to DVDs as long as you like. You go online to pick out a list of DVDs you would like to view. They send you a DVD, and when you return it by dropping it in the mail with the provided envelope, provided you have not gone over the limit of 2 per month, they send the next DVD on your list.
Review of Service
I think this service is excellent. The envelopes that they send the DVDs in turn into the envelopes you send the DVDs back in, so returning the DVDs is really easy. In one case, a DVD was scratched enough that it would not play. I went online and clicked on a button that said I was having troubles with a DVD. They sent me a new copy and instructed me to send back the scratched copy. A limitation to this particular service which is obvious is that you can only rent two DVDs per month. It would be nice to have the limit moved to 4 DVDs per month, so that one could see a movie every weekend, for example. $5 is a fair price to pay for this service. Seems like a bargain compared to video rental places.
Tips
- If you have a roommate, consider going for a better plan and chipping in together.
- Try not to hold on to DVDs too long to get the best "bang for your buck."
