Description of service
This is an online service which allows video rentals in varying tiers. You can rent as few as 1 each month, or as many as you want. Some plans allow you to trade in your online rentals for an in store exchange.
Review of Service
This service used to be good. I was actually a customer for quite some time, probably about 2 or 3 years, and then they changed the plans. The way it originally worked, you could rent a certain number of DVDs, you were allowed one free in store rental each month, and then you could trade out your online rentals for store rentals. So, for example, if you were on the 3-per-month plan, you'd get 7 DVD rentals each month. This year, they raised prices, they did away with the free rental, and only the higher tiered plans have the in store exchange. This isn't a huge problem, except that there are other online rental services which are less expensive AND have a wider selection, for example foreign films and even documentary types. There were instances in which we would have a movie in our queue, and then be waiting, literally, months for it to come in. The next on the list would always come, but it was not helpful if you were, for example, watching a series.
Tips
on't worry about the in store exchanges, unless you can go through a LOT of DVDs in one month, like for a children's home or a school. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother wasting money on this.
