the Price of Grocery Delivery from Local Store

I pay the local grocery to deliver my groceries for a flat fee $5.00. I usually have a personal shopper, like a family member select the items, but the company that offers the service, which also handles taxi cab duties charges $5 fo delivery of the groceries to my home, which is kind of out of the way (I live in a rural mountainous area).

I like to get out as much as possible, but when I can't or when I'm not feeling well - which is most of the time - I love to get a visit from the boy that delivers my groceries. It's not always the same person, but some of the delivery people actually come in and help put the groceries away. I always tip them a dollar, but if they help put stuff away I usually tip $5.

My family memebers find it very inconvienient to have to drive to my house, as I live in a very remote location. But the ones that live close to the grocery store do the shopping for me and I have it delivered by someone else, so I suggest asking family to help you with this chore. If you can't find anyone try looking in the newspaper for a fix it or handyman.
