Description of service
We paid $25 per session for my son to take violin lessons at a music store that also sold violins. The $25 included a private lesson. This lesson took place once a week. We took him to one year of lessons. We are now considering taking him back there to begin lessons again.
Review of Service
The $25 included a private 1/2 hour long session. The instructor was a wonderful musician who was very patient with my child. She knew exactly how to teach him so that he would be able to take home the violin and practice. She did encourage him to practice a little bit each night. I like how each lesson built on the last one, and he was able to go at his own pace. I didn't think the price was too expensive. In fact, it was a very reasonable price, considering we did not have to purchase a package of lessons.
Tips
If you are considering music lessons of any kind for your child, you could call your local music store. Many of them provide lessons. If they do not give lesson, than they might have a list of local instructors. You might also consider whether you would rather have group lessons or individual lessons.
