the Price of Health Insurance from a PPO

The service was composed of a health insurance plan, granted by a very big health insurance, in collaboration with an University. The plan integrates coverage for medical practice, labs and some hospital services.

This health plan that I subscribed is a mandatory one from the University I am currently attending, so this covers one semester of care. It first started to look like a bad service, because it would be mandatory and not giving much coverage.

I actually changed my opinion on this when I really needed to use the health plan.

When I got sick and needed to use the medical services, I actually could attend a physician and have health care as needed.

The labs that were also necessary were performed and the initial cost was not very high. The therapeutics that were prescribed were available right at the place and it didn't cost much. The copay was about 5 dollars, which is not very high in the market.

After having the health problems resolved, I stood and waited for the payment question to be resolved. The only piece that needed to be payed was the lab work, and it finally came out. I received a letter at home from the laboratory directly, presenting the bill. I almost payed them the amount of money they asked, but then I realized that they did not charged the insurance. I gave them all my insurance data and they actually contacted the insurance and I just had to pay a very narrow amount of money.

Overall, I think that this is a very good health insurance service, with adequate coverage and prices.

Normally, the Universities do have this kind of plans for their students, so you should look for them.
