Description of service
I paid 30.00 to take a necklace beading class at a local bead store. The class fee included all materials to make one necklace. They also provided written take home instructions, one page. We all made the same necklace but we could choose the color scheme we wanted. The class lasted about one and one half hours and at the end we were given the opportunity to purchase a package of beading supplies for another 30.00 to take home. There were two instructors and just 8 people in the class.
Review of Service
I thought the service was excellent. The instructors were very creative and helped in every aspect of the design. The supplies were first rate, nice glass and stone beads and good quality clasps were provided. The necklace I took home definitely would have cost more to buy than 30.00. They provided written instructions for starting, the necklace, finishing and putting the clasp on with illustrations of the knots. That was a nice touch, if I forget what I learned I can look it up.
Tips
Be sure to ask how much supplies are if they are not included. Find out if you are expected to bring your own tools. We borrowed tools from the store, then could purchase them to take home if we wanted. Look at the design before you sign up, if you won't wear it, can it be a gift for someone you know? Get a friend to sign up with you, make it a girls night out, it's more fun that way.
