Description of service
This was a set of three classes in which I was taught how to use wire to make a bracelet, earring, ring and wrap a pendent. Initially, I thought that the class would make one of each. We made 3-4 rings in one class, 1 bracelet in another, wire-wrapped two pendents and made several earrings in another.
Review of Service
The three classes were at a time of my own choosing. I did not have to take them all at once or every other weekend. My instructors did not ask anyone in the class to make an item just as they did. There was not a "cookie cutter" project in the class. Students were encouraged to develop their own style. When we made mistakes, and there were many, the instuctors helped us to learn how to laugh it off and try again.
Tips
Make certain that an instructor allows for personal creativity. If not, all you have learned is to do it the same way they do. There is no creativity in copying. I have found dozens of ways to wire-wrap a pendent and am finding new ways all the time. If I was not encouraged to do this, I would be stuck in the "beginner" level that I started at.
