the Price of DVD Rental Kiosks

I did this last week. Went to a local grocery store where they had the kiosk inside by the instant win lottery ticket machine. You find the movie you want. You can search by title or genre. It instantly tells you if they have it in stock. They did not have the first three movies I looked for, but I got lucky on the fourth try. You choose the movie and then you insert your credit card into the payment slot. You have to agree to their terms of service and agree that your card will be charged $1.00 per day until you return the DVD to the kiosk. This particular brand offered that you could return it to ANY of their brand of kiosk, but I returned it to the same kiosk the next afternoon.

Loved it. It was super easy and cheaper than any video store or on-demand service through my cable company. I will definitely do it again. I will say I was disappointed that they did not have the #1 movie on my list, but for a buck I wasn't too upset. I also had to stand in line to use the kiosk. Yes it is that popular in my area. Great way to see a movie for hardly any money!

Know a list of several movies you want to see before you get there to make your decision. Realize that these kiosks get used A LOT and you probably will not get your first choice movie. I would recommend looking for movies that are NOT new releases if possible. This will up your chance of getting the movie you want dramatically!
