I was injured and the party at fault's insurance company was trying to skip out on paying for my medical bills. Which were not very costly but being a young lady with a minimum wage job and just barely getting by as it was; I had no funds available. After several months of getting the run-around. I decided to contact a lawyer. The very first day I was able to receive a small settlement check. The lawyer was also pending a suit against the insurance company for not complying and not paying when it was needed.
Review of Service
My lawyer was very compasionate. He never took "no" for an answer when it came to the insurance company. He had set out a promise to me he was going to make it 'okay' and a guarantee he did not get paid if I did not get paid. Which was excellent since I had no money to pay him anyways. I just looked at this as a 'see what happens' situation. My lawyer knew I had limited funds and also with the pressure of receiving a paycheck out of this deal as well. He never stopped trying until he got me my full settlement amount.
Tips
If you need a lawyer, definately use a reference or word of mouth. You want someone who can be trusted. If it all possible to get a reference, get it! If you can't, choose with instinct not just price.
