Description of service
I looked all around until I finally found an assisted living facility for my mother that was agreeable to both of us. We finally agreed on one that was very accommodating to her needs. She is quite fussy and has high expectations. This facility has lots of activities for her to do. Her room is very nice and we were able to decorate it the way that she wanted it. Her meals are included so that she does not have to worry about cooking as she has macular degeneration and has a hard time seeing. They take good care of her and she is happy there. She loves the company and doesn't even complain much about the food, and she has made many friends. I feel that it was the right decision for us both. One more thing, if she needs help at any time, she just has to ring a buzzer and they come right up to her room.
Review of Service
The service is great! The people who work at this facility are so pleasant and can't do enough for her. The food is good and there is a variety so my mom doesn't get bored. She also likes the company at mealtime. I can call anytime and they will let me know how she is doing. She had trouble getting around, so they suggested she get a walker, which we did. Now, she doesn't have to worry about falling. The office staff is so pleasant. They have different trips that they go on, such as Atlantic City and shopping for clothes and food.
Tips
Before deciding on an assisted living facility, make sure you shop around first. Compare all the places and decide which one meets the needs of the person who will be living there. Also find out what additional charges there are, if any. At this facility, there are modest charges for transportation to doctors and supermarkets. They have other transportion that is free.
