This service is a assisted living facility that accepts disability income for payment. The center gets the entire disability income check. They provide transportation to and from the hospital appointments. They also provide meals and have an on duty caregiver to dispense of medications to patients.
Review of Service
This facility is great for my uncle. He enjoys spending time with the other patients in the place. He has a small sized room in the facility that he shares with one other person. They are relatively clean and the staff takes care of washing clothes and other general duties that have become to difficult for him to do on his own. They offer "outings" to different places. They also have various different activities that he can participate in. The downside is that it is operated with the use of state funds, so the
care of the people is sometimes not as good as I'm sure other more pricey places are. Another problem is that they don't always make sure that he goes to the outings. He only has about $25 monthly allowance to spend, but, there was a question as to whether or not he was receiving it.
Tips
Keep the lines of communication open between yourself and the staff. Make sure to keep up with whether or not the person is getting all of the services from the facility.
