Description of service
We paid $50.00 for each visit of the trainer (1 hour ea.) . The first two visits were home visits so he could get to know the dog in it's natural surroundings. The next few visits were at a local park to work with the dog around strangers and distractions. We received a training collar, and a jar with coins in it to shake to get the dogs attention.
It was a great value for the money, our dog had some behavior issues and he helped to teach us how to correct this, and the best way to work with our breed dog specifically.
The only drawback with dog training is that it takes multiple sessions, more if your dog is stubborn, and depends on the level of training you want him to receive.
Review of Service
The service was great, he was on time, and would meet us where we wanted to meet. He never beat our dog but did discipline him. I was satisfied with the change in our pet. You do have to keep up on it though, and spend time with the animal often to reinforce the lesson. The first visit he talked to us about what we wanted to see, and what we expected the desired result from the training to be.
Tips
Make sure they have experience. If you have a dog breed that is known for being aggressive, tell them upfront so they can decide if they are a right match for you and your pet. Never let anyone abuse your animal, watch how they react to the dog, and how your dog reacts to them.
