Description of service

My husband was told as a child that he was unable to have children. Last week he went to a fertility specialist for additional information. The Dr. gave him a quick exam and asked him many questions. He then referred him to a lab. His charge for the exam was $260.00 He had to go to a lab at another location in an office specifically designed for fertility and reproduction. He was asked to give a semen sample and that was it. Their cost for collection and lab services was $150.00. Although they had the results within the next day, we could not get the results from them. We had to schedule another appt. with the initial physician to find out the results. This fee should run another $200.

Review of Service

The service was excellent and everyone is professional, however, this is just the initial stages should he have a fertility problem and as you can see, it is extremely costly. The more tests the physician asks the lab to run, the more its going to cost, as well.

Tips

If you don't have health insurance and need this service, call around. The first lab we were referred to wanted $900. Luckily I found another lab that only asked for $150.00
