Description of service
In March of 2007 I begin seeing an infertility doctor for unexplained infertility. I was lucky enough to live in a state that required insurance pay for treatments, however even with that I had some cost for medications. It was determined that based on my age and the fact that other procedures had not worked for me in the past that we would start with Artificial insemination with injections. I was required to give myself shots every day and go to the doctor every other day. I underwent six cycles, in which two were canceled due to over stimulation and I skipped one due to travel. So all together I completed three treatments of back to back IUI.
Review of Service
I was very happy with the service, the doctors office and how I was treated while there. Over all the treatments were worth every minute of them and every dime we spent. I was able to become pregnant on my third completed cycle. The pregnancy, while not considered a success, to my doctor, was a success to us as a family. At 31 weeks pregnant I delivered healthy triplets, they were small but healthy and remained in the hospital for 28 days. I would do it all over again.
Tips
Try and find something, a hobby or activity, you can focus on during your treatments. It is so easy for them to over take your lives, and considering it could take any where from one month to two years to get pregnant you will need something that can distract you.
