the Price of Theater Performance Classes

This is the price we paid for our eight year old daughter to take theater performance classes last summer. This price included a total of sixteen classes, twice per week for eight weeks. The classes lasted for two hours. Included in the price was a performance at the end of the summer. The classes included about ten children and focused on technique and getting accustomed to being on stage. The classes were taught at a local theater for performing arts.

My daughter truly had an amazing time at these theater classes. She has loved the theater and musicals since a very young age (she was watching Cats on DVD at age four!), but this was a chance for her to experience theater at a whole new level. The instructors were amazing, primarily college students majoring in theater. The children's final performance was an updated version of Oliver. All the parents were amazed at the growth and development our children had made. We will definitely sign her up again this summer.

Check your local library for postings about theater classes for children and adults. Also, call your local theaters to see if they offer acting or performance classes. Another option to find classes in your area is to search online.
