Description of service
My teenager took drama lessons during a special summer program. It lasted three weeks, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the end of the three weeks, the troupe put on a play.
Review of Service
The program was designed to start one week after the public school let out for the summer. That gave the students a week of rest and transition for the summer before starting more classes. My daughter had begged me for two years about taking this class and I finally gave in. It was expensive and it took awhile to put the money back, but our "deal" was that it would be in place of a long vacation and we would take a short one. She loved it !! The class was small, only 15 students. She said it was very intense and they were involved with all parts of play production; set design, choreography, etc.
The teachers were professional actors and they gave them a lot of secret tips and advice.
They had homework every night and a lot on weekends.
Tips
Reserve early. The maximum class size was 15 and they fill up fast.
If your child is a little shy or timid, have them take the class with a friend - it makes it easier to practice during their homework assignments every day.
