the Price of Food Delivery

This past winter, I paid $20.00 for a food delivery service to pick up some Italian food for me and deliver it to my house. This delivery service picks up food from restaurants that do not normally offer delivery but do offer take-out. In other words, they pick up your take-out order for you. This allows you to have higher end food delivered to your house rather than the more traditional fast food people have delivered. I would like to point out that I did not tip for this service. Although I normally do tip delivery men, I felt the price was so high that the tip must have been added to the bill already. After all, you are not paying these people for the food; you still pay the regular price of the food you are ordering to the restaurant.

I had no complaints with the service. The delivery was very prompt and all my food arrived in perfect condition (i.e. no spills or cold food).

This service is quite pricey. I do not use this service frequently. It is for a day when I need to treat myself to a great meal but do not want to leave my home or when the weather is too bad for me to drive in.
