Description of service
I broke my front drivers side window out in December of last year trying to break back into my car after locking the keys in it. I completely shattered the glass out of the door. I went to a local glass shop and had them assess the situation. I ended up paying $135 total for the window and repair. The window itself cost $95 and the labor was $40.
Review of Service
I was not to impressed with the service I received. I went in on a Wendsday and they gave me an estimate. I came back the next day to have my window fixed and after waiting in the front room for 5 HOURS, they came out and said they had the wrong glass and it would be until tomorrow until they fixed it. I went back the next day and sat an additional 2 hours and was told they sent a passenger side door window instead of a driver's side door. They asked me yet again to come back so on Friday morning as I was called and told not to come in that morning because the part was still not received. Finally, on Saturday they got the part in and it took then 45 minutes to fix my window. I feel that they should have taken off labor since it was 1 guy that I delt with the whole time and all he really ended up doing was 45 minutes of work. I'm the one who ended up driving in the rain for 4 days without a window. The only good thing I saw from them was that my window got fixed... eventually.
Tips
My only advice is to call around before you chose to go to someone. If I had called around I probably could have found someone with the window in stock and not have had to go through such a hassle.
