Description of service
I paid to have my sandals resoled at a shoe repair shop- normally this may not be worth it, but Tevas wear so well that the tops of the sandals were fine and I thought it would be worth it to have them resoled as they are 8 years old and still in great condition.
Review of Service
Service was excellent. I brought the sandals in, cleaned very well, person at the counter explained to me what they could do, how long it would take, how much it would cost.
I was not in a hurry, so I got them back in a week, but I think they could have been done sooner if I had needed them before that.
I felt a bit silly asking for new soles on sandals, but they said it wasn't unusual. And the guy said hey, why throw them out if you can fix them because it is cheaper that way.
Tips
Ask around on the phone for prices
if nobody is willing to do it for you, see if you can send them back to the manufacturer- but in some cases I think it may be cheaper to get it done from someone in your area if they can because then you do not have to pay shipping.
if it can be repaired, repair it- don't just go out and buy a new pair!
