Description of service
My wife and I took an overnight, two day tour of the Ohio Valley. The river boat picked us up in Wheeling, West Virginia and took us all the way to the Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio boarder - and then back to Wheeling. We got to see the mountains, and even stopped at some ports along the way. The cost of this service was $350 per person, which included meals and drinks, alcoholic beverages were extra. The grand total including taxes was $700.
Review of Service
We loved this service, seeing the mountains of this area in late spring was truley a beautiful site, but the price actually bit us pretty hard. For one night we expected more for our money, what we got was just meals and a place to sleep. The boat service staff was kind of lack luster, they didn't do anything to make us upset, but they really didn't do anything to impress us either. Overall it was a great tour of the Ohio River, but was very pricey.
Tips
We found this tour through a travel agent, which could have been part of the reason the tour was so expensive. Try looking online for similar tours and see who has the best deals. The time of year can have an effect on cost too, as things are usually more expensive in the summer.
