Description of service

This service was for pet adoption at the local animal shelter. I paid $50 to adopt a dog, and I believe the cost to adopt a cat was $25, but I got a dog only. The money I paid covered the dog's shots and covered the costs of getting it spayed.

Review of Service

The people at my local animal shelter were pretty rude to me, but I think that is their nature as I would be pretty grumpy too if I got bit by dogs and scratched by cats all day. Picking out a dog was pretty easy, there were rows and rows of dog cages full of all kinds of dogs. Some dogs were as small as Pomeranians and some were as big as a horse. I could tell that some of the dogs were old in age, so I got a cute puppy that appeared to be less than a year old. After picking which dog we wanted, we filled out some simple paperwork and walked out the door with our new family member. His name is Tyson.

Tips

If you don't want to spend money to adopt from your local shelter, check the newspaper. There are always dogs that are "free to good homes" and will more than likely be given to the shelter anyway when no one volunteers to take them in.
