Description of service
I have medium length thick hair and the $95 I paid was only for coloring, not any trimming or styling afterwards.
Review of Service
I am overall pleased with the service provided. I had dyed my hair for many, many years to cover up premature graying, but eventually the home versions weren't covering the gray as well. The salon job is much more natural looking, not "flat" like the cheaper do-it-yourself box types.
Tips
Consult with the hair salon to find a good color before you schedule the appointment. Some salons don't listen to what you want, they try instead to impose what they want. It's your hair, you're paying, so it's your choice. Don't take young children with you. The smell is just as strong as "at home color" and they will get easily bored. Make sure your hair has been washed at least 24 hours in advance. They do not recommend washing before or immediately after coloring. They also do not recommend any other chemical process (perm, chemical straightening) immediately before or after coloring. Be aware that if you are in the sun a lot or swim often, it will probably affect your color. I was advised to use protective conditioner and a hat to keep my color from fading.
