Description of service
The service was for repair on the shock and a new chain and installation of both of the above. The $65 fee was the total fee covering both parts and labor.
Review of Service
I was happy with the service because it had my bike back to new again so that I could hit the trails. I was in and out within two hours, so it didn't mess up my plans for the weekend trip I had planned. So, as far as the service itself, I gave it a 10 out of 10. My only complaint was with how costly this bike itself has been getting to be. I only bought the bike new back in 2004, so its not like its that old. Also, I haven't exactly been putting crazy miles on it or anything. It just seems like I have put so much money into it over the past four years. Maybe that is just part of the sport of mountain biking though.
Tips
My tip would be to take as good of care as possible of your mountain bike so that you don't have to keep forking up the big bikes for maintenance. Certain maintenance is unavoidable, but I know I have been guilty of shortcomings during storage that potentially could have saved me some repair bills.
