Description of service
Last year we paid $150 for the battery on my husband's motorcycle to be charged. The cost included the shop's mechanic coming to our home to test the battery, taking the battery back to the shop to be charged, the actual charging of the battery, and the returning of the freshly charged battery to our house and putting it back in the bike.
Review of Service
The specialty Harley Davidson mechanic shop we used was absolutely great. The motorcycle had been sitting in our garage for over a year, so the shop sent a mechanic to our house to test the battery to see if it just needed to be charged or if it actually needed to be replaced. The mechanic arrived on time and even brought Harley t-shirts for my kids. He quickly determined that the battery just needed to be charged, so he took it back to the shop to do so. It charged overnight and he was back the next day to put it back in the bike. He even waited around while my husband rode the bike around the block to make sure the battery would sustain itself. They were so personable and the service was so quick and amazing!
Tips
Definitely use a shop that is recommended by a friend or family member. AAA is also a great resource.
