Description of service
Initial visit included physical exam, orthopedic exam, oral history, x-rays and urinalysis. The Student doctor had several health history forms to fill out and upon completion a physical examination was completed. Including a full physical, neurological and orthopedic eval. This was time consuming about an hour including urinalysis and X-rays. A chiropractic treatment was not administered until the second visit. Both the initial visit and treatment were done under supervision. The most amount of time spent was waiting for a supervising Doctor. Every month or so a repeat examination was done so that treatment could continue.
Review of Service
The treatments were great especially if you liked your student chiropractor, there was no soft-tissue, massage services or any other musculo-skeletal treatments rendered other than adjustments. Depending on the time of day and how busy the clinic was we waited for a supervisory doctor to administer the treatments. Usually we were done under 30 minutes.
Tips
You need to like your student chiropractor as you are really doing this for them. I found that the upper class students were more proficient in getting supervisory doctors to monitor their work, and they were better at the treatments. If you are looking for quick turn over and more than just an adjustment this is not the place for you. However, the students were professional and thorough and mostly adept at there skills.
