the Cost of Carpet Cleaning

We had 3 bedrooms, living room, hallway and basement carpet steam cleaned by a local company. There were two workers and the company stated when I hired them that they do not move furniture, so we moved most of the furniture ourselves into the non-carpeted areas of the house. It took about three hours for them to complete the entire job and we then had to try to stay off the carpet for another three hours or so until it dried. They also applied a stain protectant to all of the carpets that they cleaned.

The cleaning came out pretty good and we were mostly satisfied with the results. There were a few spots where stains did not come out completely, but overall the carpets were much better looking and smelling after the cleaning. The workers worked in their socks and they worked the whole time without a break, so at least they didn't waste our time. Even a few months later, the carpeted areas still look good and the stain protectant seems like it has helped to keep the carpets looking somewhat new.

Just call around, get suggestions from friends or people at work, look online or in the phone book for discount coupons, and make sure you are home so that you can watch what they are doing and keep them out of rooms where they are not working.
