Description of service
After graduating from college, I needed to move all of my acquired items back home from school. We decided to purchase a rental truck to move most of my items back home so we could cut the cost of gas and not have to make so many trips back and forth from my college town to my hometown. The cost to rent a 14 foot truck, with a capacity of 669 cubic feet, was $74 for one full day. This price included 56 miles and all additional miles over this number was $0.59 per mile. Luckily, we were only traveling a distance of 45 miles so we did not have to pay any additional price for extra mileage. An Environmental Fee of $5 was also included in the price, as well as a 7% sales tax of about $6. The service totaled about $85 after all fees and taxes were included.
Review of service
The cost of the service was not bad, however, the customer service was terrible! The company gave my boyfriend's drivers license to another customer who was about 40 years older than he was and looked nothing like him. When asked about how to get his license back, the employee said "I don't know. It's not like I can make it magically reappear." The employee was very rude (obviously) and did not offer any help on retrieving the license he had given away. Despite the decent price, we will never use this company again because of their poor customer service and incompetence.
Tips
Make sure you check the price of the service for hidden fees. Moving companies I have used have been known to add fees not originally stated in the agreement to the final bill.
