Description of service

The service was the 6-hour rental of a van from a local moving van/truck rental company. The fee was $19.99 base fee plus 58 cents per mile in addition for the in-town rental service. We put on aprox. 25 miles back and forth helping our friend from college move from one apartment to the other across town. Adding that mileage into the base fee of $19.99 was about $34 + tax for the rental of the van.

Review of service

The van as actually in surprisingly good shape. I have heard a lot of horror stories from certain rental companies about the vans and trucks being unsafe to drive and having gone years upon years without proper maintainance. So, I can in skeptical and scared. However, I was pleasantly surprised with a like-new condition truck. All in all, we were very pleased with the rental service.

Tips

My tip would be to shop around and ask for promotional deals. Always read the fine print because they come up with ways to up the charges. Also, for the most part, the insurance is a scam and doesn't cover much of anything beyond what your regular insurance already covers for rentals. For the most part, it is wise to avoid insurance on moving van rentals.
